Guide to Obtaining Your Police Clearance Online

Step 1: Access the e-Government Portal

  1. Open your web browser and go to the e-Government portal at www.gavman.gov.pg
  2. Sign in using your existing account credentials.
  • If you don’t have an account, click on “Create Account” and follow the prompts to register.

Step 2: Navigate to the e-Police Clearance Service

  1. Once logged in, go to the Featured Services section on the homepage.
  2. Select e-Police Clearance from the list of available services.

Step 3: Fill Out the Application Form

  1. Complete the online application form with the necessary personal information, such as:
  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Address
  • Passport Number
  1. Double-check the information to ensure accuracy, as this will be used to process your police clearance.

Step 4: Proceed to Payment

  1. After filling out the form, click on PAY NOW and you will be directed to the payment section.
  2. Make payment using the payment option there.
  3. Complete the payment process and save your receipt for future reference.

Step 5: Enter Your Receipt Number

  1. After making the payment, return to the last form where you clicked “PAY NOW.”
  2. You will see a text field under PAY NOW.
  3. Enter your receipt number in the text box and click “Continue” to proceed.

Step 6: Submit a One-Time Fingerprint

  1. Physically Visit your nearest police station to submit a one-time fingerprint for verification purposes.
  2. Bring along your receipt and any required identification documents.

Step 7: Wait for Approval

  1. Your application will be reviewed by relevant authorities:
    • For Citizens: NCRO officers will review and approve your application.
    • For Expatriates: Interpol officers will first review and comment, followed by a final review and approval by NCRO officers.
  2. You will receive notifications about your application’s progress via email and SMS.

Step 8: Receive Your e-Police Clearance Certificate

  1. Once approved, you will receive an SMS notification that your Certificate has been sent to your email address.
  2. Check your email and download your certificate.
  3. Print or save the certificate for your records.
